Following approval from the European Commission on State Aid, the Low Carbon Buildings Programme will be holding the Stream 2 funding rounds from September 2006 to September 2007. This funding stream was open to both public sector and private sector applicants alike.

The stream 2 fund was comprised of two categories:

Stream 2A
Is now closed for applications

The final round of Stream 2A of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme was held on the 28th of September 2007.

Stream 2 was a competitive assessment process and only exemplary schemes could expect to get funding.  All applications (both 2A & 2B) were assessed by an independent panel.  Applicants that were successful demonstrated that they have addressed the energy efficiency of their building and are delivering a cost effective and well planned scheme to which they are fully committed.

Stream 2B
Is now closed for applications.

Stream 2B of the Low Carbon Building Programme consisted of 4 rounds of applications the last of which has now closed. Applications by community and public sector organisations can still be made through Phase 2 of the programme.
